Donna Saffren completed her Montessori Primary training in 1989 and is an accomplished Montessori Administrator,
Educator and Development Director with a successful history of educational fund raising.  Her enduring commitment to
Montessori education w
as nurtured from her lengthy, direct professional experience. With her notable career in
academia, as an administrator and a teacher, Donna possesses a sensitive understanding of the intricacies of the
relationships within the child care profession; the children, the parents, the staff
and the community at large. As a
Montessori educator, she feels Midtown Montessori fills a true
child care need for the children of Santa Cruz; a seamless,
nurturing environment between school and home.

Donna moved to Santa Cruz in 1980 and raised 3 children here. Nate (20), Cristeen (23) and Katie (25), all attended
Montessori school through Junior High and now are successful, socially contributing adults. Donna is married to Paul, a
c
omponents marketing consultant and Midtown Montessori tech support. They both enjoy Sally's Bikram Yoga classes.

Bryan Campbell is an experienced classroom educator who has worked with
children ages four to fourteen within the California public school system.  He
worked in the Campbell Union School District for nine years, including three years
at kindergarten, four years at fourth grade, and two years at the middle school
level.  Bryan holds a CLAD (cross-cultural language acquisition development)
teaching credential, and he contains a wealth of knowledge in the diverse
classroom.  Bryan has worked in close collaboration with parents to assess student
needs and ensure shared goals.  He has piloted new curriculum with students and
trained teachers on program’s details, use, and classroom implementation.  Bryan
was an active member of the Student Site Council making strategic, organizational,
and fiscal decisions regarding school improvements.  He was his site’s
representative in the writing and obtaining of a $3 million dollar district wide grant
through BASRC (Bay Area School Reform Commission).  Bryan has also managed
incentive programs serving up to 200 students and ten teachers.
Bryan has been a Santa Cruz resident for ten years and is the father of two
children.  Nash is three years old and  attends Midtown Montessori. Phoenix is five
years old and attends the dual immersion Spanish program in Santa Cruz.  

Bryan is married to Sally, a local Bikram Yoga teacher and owner of Village Yoga in downtown Santa Cruz. Bryan has, and
will continue to, expand his Montessori training from MWEI (Montessori World Educational Institute).  He is also a trained
EMT(Emergency Medical Technician)
